The
OCBA Mentor on Demand (MOD) Program is an
innovative web-based mentoring program designed
exclusively for our OCBA Young Lawyers Division
members ("YLD").
A first of its kind program
in California, Mentor on Demand provides
OCBA Young Lawyers Division members free
online access to a virtual mentor 24 hours
a day, seven days a week.
Program Background
The inaugural MOD Committee, chaired by
Teresa A. McQueen Esq., and Dean J. Zipser,
Esq., in an effort to provide our YLD members
with valuable membership benefits, brought
together a unique group of individuals for
the purpose of designing a virtual mentoring
program geared towards the young lawyer.
The MOD Committee's goal
was to supplement traditional face to face
mentoring with virtual mentoring programs
that are accessible wherever and whenever
the young lawyer can find the time. To achieve
its goal the MOD Committee approached a
number of Orange County attorneys who are
recognized as experts in their fields and
asked them to impart - in ten minutes or
less - invaluable insights and tips to the
new lawyer via video presentations.
The Committee's efforts resulted
in the creation and launch of Mentor
on Demand -Virtual on-demand mentoring
in 10-mintues or less! MOD offers something
for everyone by delivering on-demand mentoring
on a variety of subjects in a way that fits
into the young lawyer's busy schedule. |
